On December 8, 2023, at Pullman Hanoi Hotel, Nam Kim Steel was honored to receive the Product of the Year award – recognizing innovative and effective products and services in 2023 for its ZINMAG® steel product. The award was presented by Investment Newspaper in collaboration with Viet Research.
The "Product of the Year" program conducts nationwide research and surveys to identify and honor outstanding products and services in terms of innovation and modernization in each industry, meeting high standards in meeting customer needs and experiences. This is based on two main criteria: (1) Value added by innovation, creativity, and modernization (Innovation Premium Index) and (2) Reputation, business efficiency of the product, and service.
ZINMAG® Steel Product – a magnesium alloy plated steel – is the result of serious investment over more than 4 years with research and development costs exceeding 10 million USD by Nam Kim Steel. This premium product boasts superior quality, providing breakthrough solutions in surface corrosion protection and metal edge protection, usable even in the most harsh environments such as coastal areas, farming, and chemicals, with a warranty period of over 50 years.
In addition to the aluminum-zinc compound, ZINMAG® steel also integrates magnesium and special rare earth components as catalysts to maximize the protective properties of the alloy.
